The JRB-1 occurrence is located southeast of Teeta Creek, approximately 1.2 kilometres south of the creek mouth.

The area is underlain by andesitic to rhyodacitic lava, tuff and breccia of the Lower Jurassic Bonanza Group. The Bonanza Group volcanics have been intruded by granodiorite stocks of the Jurassic Island Plutonic Suite.

Locally, narrow quartz-pyrite veinlets and stock-work zones host gold and silver values.

In 1993, diamond drilling yielded up to 3.4 grams per tonne silver and 1.68 grams per tonne gold over 0.2 metre (Assessment Report 22910).

In 1984, Teriton Resources completed a program of soil sampling, geological mapping and ground geophysical surveys on the area. In 1987, Esso Resources completed a program of rock, silt and soil sampling on the area as the Teeta 1 claim. In 1989 and 1991, J.R. Billingsley prospected the area as the JRB 1-3 and JR 1-2 claims.
